Arcanists are spell casters who can blast you and make you fragile. Fortunately, they are flimsy. They can be found in late Dungeon and Vaults.

Tips & Tricks

Arcanists can deal high damage, but they aren't too evasive, cannot see invisible, and don't have much willpower.
Willpower helps avoid being vitrified, while cold resistance helps defend against Bolt of Cold.
A silenced or waterlogged arcanist can only do weak melee attacks.

In 0.31, arcanists were added to the game, split off from wizards.
