Velocity card

Version 0.21: This article may not be up to date for the latest stable release of Crawl.

The card depicts an empty, well-worn pair of boots. Sand, ashes, and turf coat the boots' soles.

The Velocity card has one of three effects depending on power level:

• Level 0: casts Swiftness on the player.
• Level 1: casts Haste.
• Level 2: casts Haste and Swiftness.

All of these use a power rating of random2(power / 4) i.e. a random number between 0 and ((power / 4) rounded down) – 1.
