Taints a targeted creature's ability to cast spells. Casting a spell while afflicted with this condition may cause the target to lose control over their magic, progressively hindering their chances of success as more spells are cast.

Sap Magic is a monsters-only spell which gives the player Sap status. When you have this status, successfully casting any spell has a 50% chance to increase your spell success penalty[1]. The penalty has three levels:

  • -Wiz: spell failure rate increased by 12%;
  • -Wiz: spell failure rate increased by 24%;
  • -Wiz: spell failure rate increased by 36%[2].
