Tips & Tricks

  • For low HP species at XL 1, dart slugs can be big threats; they have a ranged attack that can two-shot frailer combos. They get a chance to fire every 1.5 turns, so if you blindly charge in, you can die. If you find a sleeping dart slug, try to avoid a fight until you've leveled up.
  • They'll constantly shoot at you as long as you are in their LOS, so crush them quickly. They are moderately fragile, at least, so killing them isn't difficult.
  • As with any monster with ranged attacks, ducking around a corner and waiting for them to come to you will reduce the amount of damage you take.

History

  • Prior to 0.27, their Slug Dart dealt 2d4 damage, but they fired less often.
  • Prior to 0.25, dart slugs could cling to walls.
  • Dart slugs came into life in version 0.18.
