Hurling

Version 0.28: This article may not be up to date for the latest stable release of Crawl.

It improves your effectiveness with thrown weapons, such as rocks and javelins (Slay+4).

Hurling is an ego found only on gloves that enhances your ability to fight with throwing weapons, reciving a +4 slaying bonus.

Desirability

Slaying bonuses are always desirable, but not all characters wind up using throwing weapons. Spellcasters would likely prefer gloves of strength or dexterity (or a nice artefact), while melee fighters might find them unnecessary.

History

• Hurling was introduced in 0.28, replacing the archery ego.
