- They often wield heavy branded weapons which can deal gruesome damage in melee. Soften or kill them at range, even if it means taking some spit.
- Early characters looking for an enchanted kite or tower shield may have some luck investigating the first few floors of the Snake Pit and hunting naga warriors. They aren't guaranteed to have one, but if you have poison resistance and run from any brutal uniques you come across, it may be worth attempting.
