A long single-edged sword with a slightly curved blade, with its weight concentrated at the point to increase its lethality. "I have seen the day, with my good biting falchion I would have made them skip; I am old now, And these same crosses spoil me." -William Shakespeare, _King Leare_, V, iii. 1608.

This weapon falls into the Long Blades category. It is a one handed weapon, and it is better for the dexterous.

The falchion is the lightest of the long blades, dealing less damage than the others in exchange for a slight boost to accuracy. Unless you find an exceptionally useful artifact falchion, you should really be using something else.
