Trunk-only: This article pertains to a feature of Crawl which is being tested. It will likely change before the next release, and may even be removed entirely.
This page is a stub. You could probably expand this page should you wish to do so.
Constructs a simple mechanical trap within an adjacent rock wall which repeatedly skewers random adjacent enemies. Protected by the wall itself, it is invulnerable to most forms of damage, but will fall apart if the caster leaves its vicinity.

Construct Spike Launcher is a level 2 Forgecraft spell that temporarily transforms a random adjacent rock wall into a turret that repeatedly attacks a random adjacent enemy each turn. If the caster moves more than 2 tiles away from this launcher, it will disappear prematurely.

Forgewrights start with this spell in their library.

Spike launchers

A magical contraption which skewers nearby monsters with sharp rocky spikes. It will disintegrate after a short length of time or if the caster strays too far away from it.

Spike launchers are Dungeon features, so enemies can't destroy them unless they can dig walls. The turrets can attack all nearby creatures, including invisible ones.
