Book of Battle

An astonishingly vain and self-aggrandising work. The author claims credit for a wide swathe of weapon-augmenting magics, but seems to have misunderstood or misrepresented most of them. Only a few of the spells described in the book actually work.

The Book of Battle is a spellbook containing spells helpful for melee combat.

History

This book was re-added in 0.31 with a different spell set.
Prior to 0.26, this was a book of Charms spells, containing Infusion, Shroud of Golubria, Song of Slaying, Ozocubu's Armour and Spectral Weapon. It was the starting book for Skalds. It was removed along with the Charms school.
The Book of Battle was added in 0.13.
