| This amulet protects its wearer from sickness due to eating fresh raw meat and allows them to digest it when not hungry, but these effects on the wearer's digestion are cumulative over time and are initially small. |
An amulet of the gourmand lets you consume meat like a carnivore but functions fully only after some time. If you eat meat while it "attunes" you will only gain a percentage of nutrition from chunks you eat above "hungry" level. Once it works fully it will also make you immune to sickness from eating contaminated (brown) corpses.
If you are a ghoul it will instead transform all clean chunks into contaminated ones making them slightly better for you.
It will not grant ability to eat meat to spriggan, vampire or mummy players, or to anyone with level 3 of the herbivore mutation.
