| This spell attempts to send hostile summoned creatures to the place from whence they came, or at least shorten their stay in the caster's locality. |
Abjuration is a beam-targeted Level 3 Summoning spell that shortens the life duration of a single summoned creature, dependent upon spell power. A sufficiently powerful cast versus a sufficiently diminished monster will unsummon it altogether.
An upgraded version of this spell, Mass Abjuration, is a Level 6 Summonings spell that affects all summons in your LOS.
Monsters never use this spell. Instead, they have a 50% (if applicable) chance of abjuring instead of performing certain summons:
History
Pre-0.10, there was but one Abjuration spell and it had the effect of the current Mass Abjuration spell.
