| A cloth or leather hat. |
Hats are a form of head armour. Unlike helmets, they provide no base AC, but can be used by characters with antennae, beaks, or all but the largest horns and can be enchanted to +2. Hats can have the following egos:
- Intelligence (+3)
- Magic resistance (+30)
- See invisible
- Spirit shield
The unique elephant slug Gastronok always carries a hat which has a good chance of being enchanted or even an artefact.
