Keep tabs on pages in the box to the right, and Priority tasks listed below:
==Once You've Joined==
*Keep tabs on the [[Current projects]] page for major updates.
*Join the editor discussion in the [https://discord.gg/Z8ubhncXFh Rouguelike Discord Group] and add the role "DCSS Wiki Editor".
*Addressing these general tasks below is also always welcome:
** Fix typos.
** Turn awkward grammar into beautiful prose.
** Run experiments in [[wizmode]] and add what you have learned!
** Categorize [[Special:UncategorizedPages|uncategorized pages]], [[Special:UncategorizedFiles|images]] and [[Special:UncategorizedCategories|categories]].
** Fix any [[Special:DoubleRedirects|double redirects]] or [[Special:BrokenRedirects|broken redirects]], if any.
** If you understand a bit of C++ language, help document how the game really works by perusing the [[source code]].  Optionally, help verify specific Crawl facts by adding footnotes to source code pages (add a source code link, enclosed in [], at the end of the fact).
** Welcome new users by placing the <tt><nowiki>{{Welcome}}</nowiki></tt> template on their talk page.

==Priority tasks==
* Prepare for 0.35 and create Trunk pages related to any new changes.
* Remove the capital "V" in "eVoke" at the top of all talisman/shapeshifting pages as this hotkey is no longer used for them.
* Choose a [[:Category:Stubs|stub article]] and expand it. Mark pages as Stubs (use <tt><nowiki>{{Stub}}</nowiki></tt> at the top of the page) so that others can update/fix them if you're not able to at the time!
* Create a page that [[Special:WantedPages|doesn't exist yet]], or fix links requesting that page.

Gaining Access to the Wiki

The normal registration process is disabled on the wiki for spam prevention purposes, but if you'd like to register for a new account, just send us an email with your preferred username. New contributors are always welcome!

Once You've Joined

  • Keep tabs on the Current projects page for major updates.
  • Join the editor discussion in the Rouguelike Discord Group and add the role "DCSS Wiki Editor".
  • Addressing these general tasks below is also always welcome:
    • Fix typos.
    • Turn awkward grammar into beautiful prose.
    • Run experiments in wizmode and add what you have learned!
    • Categorize uncategorized pages, images and categories.
    • Fix any double redirects or broken redirects, if any.
    • If you understand a bit of C++ language, help document how the game really works by perusing the source code. Optionally, help verify specific Crawl facts by adding footnotes to source code pages (add a source code link, enclosed in [], at the end of the fact).
    • Welcome new users by placing the {{Welcome}} template on their talk page.
