While vorpal-branded weapons can be found randomly, you can also make your own through use of a [[scroll of vorpalise weapon]] on a non-branded, non-artifact weapon. This may be a waste, however, as the scroll can also be used to affix several other more useful temporary brands ([[flaming]] or [[frost]] are widely considered the most useful).
