A great source of rElec, and a good amulet to wear for general purposes, swapping in [[conservation]] or [[resist mutation]] as needed. The only amulet of controlled flight worth wearing, and since [[0.11]] came out, it's the only one left in the game.

*Prior to [[0.27]], this amulet gave +5 EV, but did not boost [[Air]] magic.
*Prior to [[0.12]], this artefact's base type was an [[amulet of controlled flight]]. When this [[intrinsic]] was removed in 0.12, the base type was changed to an [[amulet of inaccuracy]] and it received the permanent [[Repel Missiles]] effect to make up for that penalty.

In [[0.12]], this artefact's base type will be changed to an [[amulet of inaccuracy]] (thus eliminating amulets of controlled flight entirely, as levitation itself will be removed in favor of flight).  To compensate for this, it will have a permanent [[Repel Missiles]] effect.

Desirability

The amulet of the Air[1] might lower your accuracy, but it offers great benefits in return. Air Magic specialists obviously benefit the most, though any character can appreciate this artefact. Both Repel Missiles and rElec are rare and valuable intrinsics. Any character who has seriously developed their skills will barely notice the accuracy drop. Overall, it's a strong amulet, especially in places where RMsl and/or rElec are useful.
