An enormous and unnervingly motile slime mold colony. It creeps along the crevices of the walls in search of nutrients and can spread itself to new locations by launching enormous sporangia.

A source of slime mold colonies present on Slime Pits 1-4.

Useful Info

They're bound to walls and spawn caustic sporangium, which explode for acidic damage and summon nascent plasmodium on sufficiently separate walls. These nascent plasmodia then fire weak Acid Balls. Killing the original plasmodium will destroy all the plasmodia it proxy-summoned.

Tips & Tricks

• AOE damage is particularly helpful for keeping the population low while continuing to damage the source. Spells like Fireball and Ignition shine here.
• The caustic sporangium travels at less-than-instant speed. Summons can absorb the blast while you retreat.

• Added in 0.34 as part of its update to the Slime Pits.
